Each year, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has a special week long celebration for young children across the country. Each day is a different type of event to help inspire learning, creativity, collaboration, and so much more.

Music Monday April 13, 2015
Music teacher Lynn Hilgers will do a family sing-along from 8:30am-9:00am on the downstairs playground. Families are invited to join the sing along or their child’s assigned music time that morning. #woyc15 #UWPSL

Taco Tuesday April 14, 2015
Families can come for a potluck style taco lunch with their child’s class at 11:30am. This will be a cooking project for the kids. #woyctacotues #UWPSL

Work Together Wednesday April 15, 2015
Kohl’s associates will come to volunteer to help the children cleanup the playground and planting as well as block building in neighborhood centers. If the weather is nice, this event will take all morning from 9:30-11:30. #woycworktogether #UWPSL

Artsy Thursday April 16, 2015
Grandmother Carol Wright will come in to each class to make and paint pottery in the upstairs neighborhood from 9:30-11:30am. #woycartsy #UWPSL

Family Friday April 17, 2015
Children will parade through Nancy Nicholas Hall and have a mini pep rally in the front lobby with Bucky Badger. Bucky will be here from 10:30-11:00am. #woycfamfriday #UWPSL
