Drop-in and Career Advising Appointments

ALICIA HAZEN advising studentsThe Student Academic Affairs & Career Development Office offers drop-in career advising appointments Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Drop-in appointments are generally 10-15 minute appointments to have quick career-related questions answered, such as those related to the job or internship search process, interviewing, utilizing Handshake, etc. Students may have their resume and cover letters reviewed during drop-in advising times or opt to send their application documents in for electronic review by emailing them to careers@sohe.wisc.edu. Please utilize these services first before scheduling an appointment with a professional advisor.

For more in-depth career advising questions, or graduation school prep conversations, students may schedule 30-minute career advising appointments with a SoHE career advisor using the online Starfish scheduling tool found in your MyUW portal. Search “Starfish” and follow the instructions. Having trouble? Contact 608-262-2608 or advising@sohe.wisc.edu.
