The UW-Preschool Laboratory is an incredible community of wonderful children and families, experienced and talented colleagues, smart and enthusiastic student teachers, and cutting edge researchers. I feel very fortunate to work in this creative and dynamic place of learning where I can continue to learn and grow as a professional and contribute to the ongoing growth of the early childhood field.

  • BS in Educational Studies-Adult Education from UW-Milwaukee
  • Taught children ages 1-12 from 1992-1996, supervised 4 after school programs 1997-1998
  • Worked for the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, was Deputy Chief for Wisconsin’s Southern Region Child Care Licensing, Wisconsin Council on Children and Families, Community Coordinated Child Care  1998-2007
  • Child Care Program Manager at The Respite Center 2007-2009
  • Preschool Administrator at the UW-Preschool Lab Mineral Point Road site 2009-2014, Administrative Support Specialist at Linden site since 2014
  • Master Trainer for The Registry
  • Pursuing studies in nature education for children in an urban setting
  • Created and curated Art from the Child’s Perspective in 1995 in conjunction with Milestones Programs for Children and the Milwaukee Art Museum
  • Taught state approved entry level training courses and many early childhood workshops on a variety of topics at local, state and national conferences
  • co-created The Courage to Explore Diversity Project hosted by the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association
  • Taught yoga for children and caregivers with 18 credits in yoga from UW-Milwaukee
