If we could teach all the 5 yr. olds in the world to meditate on compassion 1 hour a week, the world would be at peace in one generation.

Working with children, families and the environments in which they live has been the focus of my professional life.  This context inspires me to look at the whole child and understand how richly the many aspects of life affect us.  My work at the Preschool Lab has deepened my understanding of children and their learning.  Helping children learn to inquire and make discoveries is very rewarding for me as a teacher, and I feel lucky to be a part of a team that celebrates inquiry based learning.  I also feel lucky to work for the School of Human Ecology.  The vision that our impact be locally relevant and globally prominent makes our work at SoHE both significant and far reaching.
