Interesting things happen at intersections.
I first heard this comment several years ago during a dedication ceremony for a new academic building. It resonated with me on many levels. I have often found that many of life’s most profound and inspired moments do indeed happen when different components meet and thoughts are shared. I love brainstorming!
Throughout an extended career as an exhibitions curator and designer, I have had the opportunity to explore and interpret a wide variety of subjects and disciplines. I especially enjoy working with students, staff, and faculty to develop engaging and innovative gallery installations. I view the Ruth Davis Design Gallery as an excellent laboratory to explore the depth and richness of the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection and the creativity being developed within the design programs of the School of Human Ecology.
