It’s not just about being able to write a check. It’s being able to touch somebody’s life.

The opportunity to connect with alumni and friends of the School of Human Ecology and to assist them in making philanthropic decisions is a great privilege. My commitment to advancing support for the School stems from a long association, first as a proud alumna with two Human Ecology degrees and then fourteen years administering and coordinating internship placements for retailing, consumer science and interior design (architecture) students. In my current role as senior director of development I work with dedicated colleagues committed to engaging alumni and friends who have a shared passion for the mission of the School. In this role, I have witnessed the joy of giving and the transformative impact of philanthropy. Every gift, no matter the amount, directly or indirectly, touches somebody’s life. The collective impact of many gifts is an inspiring testament to the fact that it is within everyone’s ability to make a difference.
