Funding Opportunities

INTERNAL – SoHE: SoHE research leads have begun to issue calls for research incentive funding (“seed”) proposals for 2019-20, available only to those in SoHE. Check the SoHE Research Support Search Funding Opportunities page for due dates and information about how to apply.

UW Institute of Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR): UW ICTR Pilot Awards Program has released four RFAs inviting community-partnered research proposals in the following areas:

  • Collaborative Health Equity Research (CHER) -$50,000 / 12 months – Note: PI must be an Assistant Professor and partner with a senior faculty member
  • Clinical and Community Outcomes Research (CCOR) -$75,000 / 12 months
  • Stakeholder & Patient Engaged Research (SPER) – $100,000 / 12 months
  • Dissemination & Implementation (D&I) -$150,000 / 12 months

Letters of Intent (LOI) are due January 15, 2020, with full applications due March 13, 2020. Detailed RFAs and application materials are available on the ICTR Funding Opportunities page.

William T. Grant Foundation: The William T. Grant Foundation invites proposals for its Reducing Inequality program. The program supports high-quality field-initiated studies from a range of disciplines and methodologies that are relevant to policies affecting the lives of young people between the ages of 5 and 25 in the United States. Priority is given to work aimed at reducing inequality on the basis of race, ethnicity, economic standing, language, minority status, or immigrant origin.
Proposals may be submitted for major Research Grants ($100,000 to $600,000 for two to three years of support) and Officers’ research grants ($5,000 to $50,000).

Letters of Inquiry for major Research Grants and full applications for Officers’ research grants are due January 9, 2020. Selected applicants for major Research Grants will be invited to submit a full proposal. Officers’ research grants are selected on the merits of the LOI alone.
