College Students

Student reading with childStudents have several opportunities to learn, work or volunteer at the Child Development Lab. Here is what  Kelly Lyke, recent Child Development and Family Studies graduate, has to say about her time at the UW Child Development Lab…

“I worked as an assistant for two years. When I started, I had no idea what I was doing. I needed a lot of help, but by the end of it, I had the skills to get a teaching job. I enjoyed coming to work here each day. I loved getting to build relationships with the children and their families. The teachers are more than willing to help and you can learn a lot by just watching them. When I entered the job market, I found that having experience here was seen very positively. It’s an awesome place to work!”
