Studying abroad is a great way to enhance your education by taking courses in another country. Be sure to talk with your academic advisor to review how an abroad experience fits with your degree plan and intended grad date. We recommend that students start preparing one year ahead of the term they plan to study abroad.
Considering study abroad?

NOTE: Study abroad programs that are not affiliated with UW-Madison’s Study Abroad Office require additional steps and preparation. Students pursuing non-affiliated programs should work with the International Academic Programs office early in the planning process. These programs also require students to apply for re-entry upon their return to UW-Madison.
SoHE sometimes sponsors short-term international study experiences. These vary from year to year. Past trips have included a Feng-Shui trip to China led by Interior Architecture Professor Wei Dong and another trip to China that focused on the retailing industry.
