Applying for a research grant is no small feat! There are a number of important administrative and compliance processes at UW that all researchers must follow to help make sure your grant submission goes smoothly and you know what’s needed for sound grant management once an award is made.
This session (register online here) will provide SoHE researchers with an overview of the major processes and compliance requirements that are involved with a research grant application and receipt of an award, including:
- roles and responsibilities of faculty, SoHE research administrators, and office of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) staff (who does what across the grant application and award management cycle);
- a walk-through of the grant submission process at UW (including the WISPER record, budget review, coordination with RSP for submission, etc.);
- major research policies and compliance requirements that all researchers should know;
- where to find resources online and who to contact in SoHE with questions related to applying for or managing a grant or other sponsored project.
The target audience is SoHE faculty researchers at all career stages. Staff members, post-docs, and graduate students who conduct research at SoHE are welcome to attend.
This 60-minute session will be followed by 15-minutes of Q&A.
Slides and other handouts will be provided to registrants a few days in advance.
