2019 Alumni Award Nominations Now Open
The UW-Madison School of Human Ecology (SoHE) and its Board of Visitors are excited to honor the achievements of SoHE graduates around the world. The alumni awards recognize the excellence, scholarship, and contributions of alumni that are both meaningful and broadly significant.
The goals of the SoHE Alumni Awards program are:
- To celebrate the accomplishments of those who have graduated from the School of Human Ecology
- To recognize the impact our alumni are making in their communities, both locally and globally
- To reconnect the alumni community with SoHE and with each other
Do you know a SoHE alum who has made significant contributions to his or her field and is improving lives beyond the boundaries of campus through their work? We invite you to nominate them for one of our Alumni Awards:
Distinguished Alumni Award: Recognizes graduates of the School of Human Ecology who have achieved significant recognition in their chosen profession or life’s work. Through this work, they have improved the quality of life for others and brought honor to themselves, their community, the School of Human Ecology, and the University of Wisconsin.
Early Career Alumni Award: Recognizes outstanding graduates who have received a degree or certificate from a program within the School of Human Ecology and is younger than age 40. Selection is based on demonstrated achievement and leadership within a chosen field.
Wisconsin Idea Alumni Award: Recognizes a graduate who has endeavored to improve human life by creating new or innovative projects, public engagement or service, and other avenues that lead to greater individual, family, community or consumer well-being.
The nomination process is easy; there are just two steps:
2) To enhance the nomination, please include a Letter of Support from a colleague, former professor or other individual familiar with the nominee’s work and/or a recent CV/Resume (or equivalent) as part of the nomination submission.
