Judy Norman-Nunnery, Ph.D.
Lecturer
Dr. Judy Norman-Nunnery received her BS from Grambling State University, MS from Louisiana Tech University-Ruston, and PhD in Philosophy from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I have been involved in the field of education as a teacher in secondary and post-secondary settings; as a supervisor for education-for-work programs in an urban environment; and, as an administrator for statewide employment-related programs for special needs populations for well over two decades.
T hese experiences have given me first-hand knowledge of the value that society and individuals place on work. Helping people develop meaningful and productive work lives is a genuinely important and worthwhile endeavors. Encompassing the broadest conceptual basis for the term work which includes occupational work, family work, and community work serves as the foundation for quality in our individual lives and is fundamental to the well-being of our society!
Those who organize and operate education-for-work programs have a special chance to make a difference by helping to develop better economic opportunities for individuals, addressing critical contemporary labor market needs, and creating brighter working futures for all.
Courses taught by Dr. Norman-Nunnery:
Inter-HE 660 Foundations of Education for Work
